The improvisational and fusion sounds of
Pat Metheny and Lyle May's has delighted audiences for many
years.
The very first album I was introduced
to was "As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls". When I first
heard this album I was elated and it brought pure joy within my
soul. Pat and Lyle's sound is different from most jazz
artists. They offer listeners a electronic jazz fusion with
a improvisational sound that will sweep you away even today. This
is a sound that will never die. It takes a special jazz lover to
appreciate the sounds of these two great jazzy artists. Like all
artists Pat and Lyle started out very slow than popularity hit the
market when "first Circle" hit the genre and the concerts were sold
out. Lyle Mays ventured out on his own and became a soloist jazz
pianist and a sad day this was for the Pat Metheny venue. Pat
Metheny started performing with other artist like B.B. King, Jimi
Hendrix, Frank Zappa, Dave Brubeck and Kenny G. just to name a few.
